After weeks of meetings of Salvation Army Advisory Board members and staff the Annual Charity Golf Tournament kicked off on Friday June, 17. Registration began at 11am and was followed by a lunch for participants provided by The Salvation Army. Team and Hole sponsors gathered at Stonebridge Meadows Golf Club and heard words by Marshall Moody (Advisory Board member), Major Tim Williford and special guest, Sports Talk radio host Bo Mattingly, before they took off to play!
There were 22 teams of four entered in the four man scramble. Many pictures were taken and connections made, but all the proceeds from the tournament were donated to The Salvation Army to help in it’s mission of providing assistance to those in need in Benton and Wahsington Counties. Bo Mattingly stuck around and did a live broadcast of his show from the golf club.
There were three places given out at the tournament. 3rd place went to Northwest Electric!
- Officers (Clergy)
- Slodiers/adherents (Laity)
- Members of various activity groups and VOLUNTEERS (The Salvation Army could not run without volunteers!)
The Salvation Army is motivated by LOVE FOR GOD and a concern for the NEEDS OF ALL HUMAITY.
